The North Branford Baseball Club (NBBC) strives to create a competitive
environment where young athletes will be taught the proper skills to reach
their potential both on and off the playing field. Regardless of each
individual’s achievements on the field, the club teaches life skills,
values, and lessons such as: team work, discipline, focus, taking
responsibility for one’s self, the importance of hard work, and
communication. We believe that every player has the potential to achieve
great things, regardless of their athletic ability. We teach the importance
of setting goals and working towards them.

We also emphasize that academics and athletics go hand in hand. The NBBC
offers tutoring and homework help to each of our members to insure that they
have the necessary tools and guidance to attain academic success. Athletic
participation leads to a more healthy and active lifestyle, and also
encourages success in the classroom. The NBBC constantly underscores the
characteristics that good athletes, scholars, and successful individuals
have in common. We strive to build confidence and self esteem in each of our
players by teaching them that they can achieve their goals if they work hard
and never give up.

The NBBC is based on the principles of discipline and structure,
encouragement, objectivity, and instruction. The club recognizes that no two
players are alike, and that every player should be evaluated and treated
objectively. Players will be taught how to think and act for themselves,
take responsibility for their actions, and thrive in a competitive and
objective environment much like the real world. Furthermore, our players
will learn to enjoy the game of baseball the way it was meant to be played.

Why Join the NBBC?

The NBBC offers a variety of programs for its “player members”. First is our
CT Storm Travel Program. The CT Storm is based on the founding principles
of the NBBC:

Discipline and Structure

CT Storm teams are offered for players age 8-18. The program is designed to
teach the kids what it’s like to be part of a real baseball team. The NBBC
hires professional coaches to instruct and coach our teams. Proper
fundamentals and mechanics will be reinforced at every practice and game.
Players will be evaluated objectively on a daily basis. No politics! CT
Storm players receive the following:

-20 games in the fall, 27+ games in the spring/summer (weather permitting)

-Proper instruction and training by professional coaches

-A membership to The Strike Zone training facility in North Branford that
allows them FREE use of the facility during the season

Connecticut Storm Baseball Program

The Connecticut Storm Baseball Program was started with the goal to help
players take their game to the next level by providing instruction,
training, competition, as well as the necessary structure and discipline it
takes to be a baseball player. The program also strives to teach our
players life lessons that they will use both on and off the field. Unlike
many other programs in the state, our FIRST priority is the development of
our players as both people and athletes. While the program strives to be
as competitive as possible, we don’t place winning ahead of player
development. Our program has a proven track record in helping players take
their game to the next level, whether that level is middle school, high
school, college, or professional ball. Every year players that have come
through the Connecticut Storm program go on to play at the college level.
In fact, we have helped over 40+ players go on to play in college.

How to Become a Member of the NBBC

There are two types of NBBC members: “sponsor members” and “player members”.
Sponsor members are local businesses, friends, and families of the NBBC who
have donated time or money to the club. If you are interested in becoming a
sponsor member please call Kyle Stevens at (203) 484-7700 for more
information. Our players appreciate any assistance you can provide!

Player members are not only those players who have tried out and made a CT
Storm team, but also those who are not in the Storm program, but want to be
a part of the club. Any player who participates in the CT Storm program, is
automatically a member of the NBBC and receives all of the benefits of
membership. All other players who want to become a member of the club can
do so as well! All you have to do is sign-up with us. You will be put on
our mailing list and kept informed of all NBBC clinics, camps, programs, and
club gatherings.

(Non-Storm players must pay a $60 yearly fee in order to receive NBBC
